Interactive features of Roseman’s accelerated nursing program

There are many facets to Roseman’s accelerated nursing program in Nevada. Not only do you practice in our campus simulation lab and work in hospitals to refine your hands-on skills, you also get the benefit of completing your didactic (theory) coursework online. There are multiple learning modules for each class including reading assignments, audio lectures, videos and discussions. They also include learning activities where you interface with a teaching tool geared toward your subject of study.

Here are three examples:

Anatomy Matching: With a matching or a drag-and-drop activity, you’re given the opportunity to look at realistic examples of anatomy to match and test your knowledge. Typically, you’ll see terms on the left side and a graphic of a body part on the right. As you click and drag each term to the correct area, you’ll know instantly if you’re right or wrong. You’re given unlimited attempts to complete these activities to learn the material in a unique way.

Case Studies: Critical-thinking skills are essential for any nurse to navigate through their career and help patients to achieve the best possible outcomes. Case studies give you the feeling of walking through a real-life situation. They provide question and multiple-choice answer sessions and include more interactive levels with drag-and-drop or other matching features.

Demonstrations: Some of your activities will provide the feel of a particular skill and allow you the chance to perfect your technique even when you’re not in the simulation lab. Demonstrations are designed to test your knowledge and help you learn skill sets like dosage calculations and food safety.
